Parking her black Mercedes outside, Paula hoped out of the car. " Crap, I'm not gonna have time.." she mumbled, locking her car and hurring into the studio. The hallyways were crowed with stylist running around, and contestants doing last minute run throughs of their songs. Somehow, she made it to her dressing room.
Chris and Phil stood with a group of guys, doing one of their pre show ritual things. " You nervous?" Phil asked.
Chris shrugged. " Nah, not really"

Paula emerged from her dressing room some minutes later, her make up and hair done. Looking around, she couldn't spot her fellow judges, or Ryan anywhere. " Anyone seen Cowell, Randy and Ryan?" she asked to no one in particular.

simon looked at his watch, his limo driver was driving ever so slow, he really wished he would have just took his bently, but the idol staff forced him to take the limo, "oh well, it's free anyhow" simon thought to himself
meanwhile blake went to the bathroom and went pee while singing "somewhere only we know" quietly to himself,rubbing two luckey charms
simon's limo finally arived and simon was escorted int othe studio by a body guard then got mobbed by make up people freaking out that he was there only an hour before the show

Phil was walking in circles, trying really hard not to freak out. Chris in the meantime was chatting away with a hairstylist about nothing in particular.
Paula was about to go take her seat, when she was pulled aside by Daniel, her stylist, who insisted apon re doing her hair for the billionth time, because it didn't look quite right.

blake removed himself from the bathroom and walked out into the people filled hallway, he smiled at all the familier faces, tryign to give them some hope for the nerve racking show to come
after finishing make up simon walked out and took his chair, there were a few cries of "simon i love you" which he replied to with "thank you dear" and then thier were always the parents of the contestants who booed him "pardon" simon would always say to them, tryign to express to them that what they were doing was incorrect behavoir

Finally walking out to take her seat, Paula hear one of the 'Simon I love yous'. She pretended to be discusted. " Eeew..". Apon reaching her seat, she greeted Ryan, who happened to be standing in the crowd, and sat down next to Simon. " Hello Simon " She said. In the silence that folowed, she couldn't help but remember their dance...

meanwhile the first act of the night came out.......

Ryan stepped up onto the stage and did his little intro. " ....This is American Idol"
The theme music began to play and everyone screamed. Paula scribbled down something on a piece of paper and passed it to Simon.
Hey Cowell,
U wanna go out 2 dinner @ The IVY w/ me Ryan + Randy after the show?

(( Let's totally diviate from the real show and make Phil go first...then blake..then chris.))
Paula smiled, deciding not to say something back, because Ryan was introducing the first singer.
" Phil Stacey. Take a look at this.." Ryan said, as Phil's clip began to roll.
After the clip was done:
Phil took the stage as the band started up.

Randy clapped as the cheers dies down. " I liked it dawg. I liked it. It started out a little iffy..but you worked it out dawg, you did your thing. Great way to start the show"
Paula shot Simon a look back, before looking to Phil. " Phil, that was great. I agree with Randy, you started out a little pitchy, but when you hit the chorus...oh..you just blew it away. Great job." She smiled, as people clapped, relieved she'd said the right thing.
Phil looked to Simon, awaiting the brit's comment.

"you two are lving in a fairy tale land" simon said looking over to paula and randy "it wasn't that good, the chorus was..ok, i could her the same thing at any bar across america" simon said with a smile on his face, giving him self a massage

Ryan frowned, looking at Simon with a confused experssion on his face. " Ok, well if you agree with Paula and Randy, and you wanna vote for Phil, here's the number. 1 866- IDOLs-01. Phil walked off the stage, high fiving some of his friends on the way back to the red room.
Paula chatted with Randy a bit beforeThey went live again.
" Next up, Blake Lewis, take a look at this.." Ryan said as the clip rolled.

blake watched hte nice clip of him from his first audition, to his last day at hollywood, whe nthe clip was finished rolling, he walked out, and his song of the week started playing "somewhere only we know"
